Maryland 2020 Voting Reminders

The deadline for voters in Maryland to register to vote or to update/ confirm their voter registration information is Tuesday, October 13, 2020.  If using Maryland's Online Voter Registration System (OLVR), you have until 9:00 p.m. to submit your application.

Once registered, Marylanders have until October 20, 2020 to ensure that the State received your mail-in ballot application.   Early voting in Maryland will occur from Monday, October 26, 2020 to Monday, November 2, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Marylanders can also register to vote on Election Day. To make the voting process quicker for you, the Maryland Board of Elections encourages their residents to register to vote by the close of voter registration.  If you are unable to register by that date:

  • Go to an early voting center in the county where you live during early voting, or go to an election day voting center (PDF) (EXCEL) in the county where you live and bring a document that proves where you live.
  • To prove where you live, bring your MVA-issued license, ID card, or change of address card, or your paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or other government document with your name and new address.
